SPECTACULAR VIEWS ON THE ROAD TO RONDA
Located on the eastern edge of the Serrania de Ronda, the natural landscape of pinsapo firs and towering oaks that surrounds El Burgo is of incomparable beauty.
Outside the village of around 2000 souls, there are trails that allow you to enjoy the tranquility and scenery of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park: the stunning views of the Tagus Valley Lifa, the ruins of the convent Virgen de las Nieves, the spectacular waterfall, the historic mill Fuensanta and so much more.
The road from El Burgo to Ronda is spectacular with towering cliffs, never ending panoramas and the likelyhood of seeing a majestic golden eagle soaring above.

The main festival in El Burgo is held in August. It is the fiesta in honor of St. Augustine - the patron saint of the village - and lasts for about five days.
Other festivals are: Burning Judas, which is on Easter Sunday; the procession of the Virgen de las Nieves, in the first weekend of August; La Sopa de los Siete Ramales that coincides with Andalusia Day; and the carnival celebrations at the beginning of March.

In October, the "Pasión Bandolera" historical reenactment is carried out, when more than 300 residents, dressed in the style of 1840, recreate the life of the bandits of the area. The performances are in an area that recreats the village as it would have been during the period.
